Abstract
The Galileo user receiver represents a key technology and is at the heart of the user segment. It is the main physical interface between the system and the user. It transforms the Galileo signal-in-space into services for the citizen. The majority of Galileo users will use the Galileo Open Service, utilising mass market receivers. A specific emphasis is brought to the development of the specific technologies for the mass market receiver and its specific constraints. This paper describes the development of a position, velocity and time solution software for a receiver development, able to combine signals of GPS L1, Galileo OS and SBAS measurements. Furthermore the use of assisted GNSS for signal acquisition and the PVT solution are discussed. This development was accomplished within the project GAMMA, funded by the 6th framework programm of the European Union.
