Abstract :
Whirlwind enveloping milling is a high-efficient machining method for screws. Aiming at a single screw, double-heads pump rotors which is high in quantity supplied, this paper introduces the basic principle of inner whirlwind enveloping milling technology, studies an arithmetic for spatial path when the centre of cutting tools moves relative to workpiece to envelope helical surface, and analyzes the primary parameters influencing on machining process by example. The method will improve the machining efficiency and machining accuracy greatly.
