Abstract :
A PC based CNC system for planer cams grinding is presented, and some key techniques are also studied. Among them are steady speed grinding, automatic orientation of cams block, remote control, and automatic programming. It is shown that with this integrated system, the quality and the productivity of cams manufacturing are greatly promoted. This kind of integrated system can also be used in other cases of single piece or small batch of manufacturing.
