Abstract :
Vehicle complicated deformable parts are formed using stamping. When stamping is applied, the deforming size and selected material of plate affect greatly the up to grade rate of pressing parts. The strain analysis of typical and complicated deformable parts of different material was discussed by ASME (Automated Strain Analysis and Measure Environment) through experiment and simulation. And then the FLD (Forming Limit Diagram) can be illustrated, from which the safety deformation zone and danger deformation zone of every complicated deformable parts can be obtained accordingly. The results showed that: to establish the FLD using the ASAME system, the weakness of conventional approach, such as the slow speed, low accuracy and poor applicability, were overcomed. The strain analysis of oil-pan part which is mainly formed by tensile strain was discussed. The research showed that the strains distributions of stamping oil-pan are almost far away the dash curve (the critical area of forming limit) and the safety strain (safety margin) is in a very high value, 18.3%, when using St16 sheet. Therefore, the St163 sheet was suitable and safe for forming oil-pan. Otherwise, the St16 sheet was also suitable for the forming of front side panel with plane and swell of strain
