Abstract
The drawing exchange files (DXF), which described the detail of picture by an ASCII code files, is a letter file of the pictures and one of standard CAD files in industries. In this paper, a CAM file translate from a DXF file which analyzed the contents and structures of original file, and produce the tool paths for numerical control system of Laser machines. Translating DXF file, which developed by Borland C++ Builder and Lex&Yacc software, obtains the tool paths of controller and cuts any profile of workpiece from an acrylic plate would be presented in this paper. According to the results of this paper, we successfully translated a DXF file to obtain a control commands for CO2 Laser machine which it developed by our laboratory in National Changhua University of Education. Finally, the various geometry profiles of workpiece, which translated from a DXF file and produced by the CO2 Laser machine, would also present in this paper.
