  • Abstract
    Surge is the main destructive form for large high press centrifugal compressor, which severely affects the safety, and even damages the equipment. So the anti-surge control is an important problem that has to be solved. The scarcity of surge datum of high pressure centrifugal compressors which are imported and used in petrochemical industry brings a lot of difficulties in anti-surge control. Based on the Greitzer surge model of the centrifugal compressors, this paper, taking use of the systematic analysis method and performance similarity principle, establishes the surge model of the centrifugal compressors system in real work state, and achieves the forecast of its performance, as well as its genuine surge curve. On the basis of the aforementioned surge model, CAN bus is adopted for the centrifugal compressors’ anti-surge control system. The digital communication of CAN bus can improve anti-interference capability and control precision of the system. The practice proves that the system can prevent the surge phenomenon effectively, and the circulation flow of the compressor can be automatically adjusted according to the work state’s change, and which makes the compressor run in its best state constantly; at the same time improves the performance of system and saves energy.
