Abstract :
The construction vehicles have been becoming larger, even super large scale with the development of modern construction projects. However, most construction vehicles travel on “off-road”, serious vibration and impact will be occurred with their work, and the case will be worse with the increment of the vehicle forms and working loads. Under the situation of the environmental protection laws and regulations being strict day by day now, how to resolve the problems of serious vibration and impact in construction vehicles, the poor driving comfortableness and the noise pollution occurring in the vehicles, have become a new urgent task, which affects the development of the heavy duty construction vehicles. Integrating with the National Key Technologies R&D Program — Research and Development of Over 400 Horsepower Level Environmental Protection Crawler Bulldozer, according to the bulldozers’ structural features and the machine working conditions, a vibration damping system model has been established, and the model parameter characteristics have been analysed. The reasonable design parameters for the viscoelastic suspensions have been obtained, a new type of small “K” shape viscoelastic suspension has been developed and the core technology in research and development for the mechanism has been grasped.
