Abstract :
In order to improve the efficiency and quality of modular product, FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) method was introduced in the process of product modular design, and a module identifying method driven by FTA was presented. In conceptual phase, the principle of product’s functions was derived, the structure of the principle was built, and the evolution of structure’s functional decomposition was carried out. A function model of product was constructed based on material flow, energy flow and information flow. And then the fault tree of the model was built, Fault Tree Analysis was done, the correlation of the product’s conceptual structures for fault location, isolation, and restoration were confirmed. Combined with the correlativity analysis of the structures’ function, assembly and interface, conceptual structure relation matrix was constructed. Finally, the shortest distance method of clustering was used to cluster the conceptual elements of product, and so the identifying of product conceptual structure module was realized.
