Abstract :
This paper presents some RF transceivers concepts for reconfigurable and multi-standard radio. As key enablers we are introducing a highly linear RX front-end with inductorless LNA and a discrete time processor. Another key component is a class-D transmitter with NPWM modulator. Trade-offs between technology, performance and circuit choices are discussed. Measurements of a highly linear RX front-end are presented and circuit implementation issues are reviewed.
