Abstract
In this paper we study the constant modulus algorithm based on variable segment error function (VS-CMA) deeply, and aiming at the problems of its segment position is not easy to be set and its step size must be fit for the segment position, a fast constant modulus algorithm based on exponential variable segment error function (EVS-CMA) is proposed. In the EVS-CMA, an exponential function is introduced into the segment position and via such method the EVS-CMA can adjust automatically the segment position in the equalization process and the step size can don not need to be set particularly. The efficiency of the EVS-CMA is proved by computer simulations with underwater caustics channel.
