Abstract :
This paper introduces a single parameter chaotic system, which can generate a complex 4-scroll chaotic attractor, a 3-scroll chaotic attractor, and two 2- scroll chaotic attractors with variation of single parameter. Some basic dynamical properties, such as Lyapunov exponents, fractal dimension, Periodic windows, spectrum map, and the compound structure of the new chaotic system are investigated, either numerically or analytically. The obtained results show clearly that the system discussed in this paper is a new chaotic system and deserves further detailed investigation.
