Abstract
A dechirp on receive (DoR) concept demonstrator was recently implemented on the Fynmeet radar system of the CSIR, in an attempt to extend its high range resolution (HRR) measurement capabilities. Based on the low dynamic range observed in subsequent measurements, this paper presents detailed analysis of the effect of amplitude, phase and nonlinear distortion on dechirp on receive radars.
