Abstract :
This paper describes a method where a SAR system can be used with a single antenna both for transmitting and receiving. The system is using an antenna switch combined with a delayed version of the transmitted signal applied to the local oscillator of the detector. The paper discusses the different difficulties in using this method and gives an example with parameters on how such a radar system can be implemented.
