Abstract :
This paper presents qualitative and quantitative approach to access the performance focusing upon torque pulsation of an open-loop inverter-fed synchronous reluctance motor (Syn-RM) drive system. The inverter used to supply a three-phase Synchronous Reluctance motor operates in either 180deg or in 150deg conduction mode. A comparison in the performance of the drive system is presented for the two conduction modes. Analytical and simulation results are provided to support the findings.
