Abstract :
Partial discharge(PD) signal is used to diagnose the faults of power transformer. But it is often affected by external noise. A method, which can remove narrow-band interference and white noise in PD signal effectively, is put forward. Because the chaotic motion of the duffing oscillator is sensitive to the narrow-band interference signal and immune to the white noise, the method of detecting narrow-band interference signal based on Lyapunov exponents calculation and intermittent chaos is given firstly. Then, the method based on the improved second-generation wavelet transform is put forward, which is used to reduce the white noise in the partial discharge signal. The availability of the methods is verified by MATLAB simulation analysis.
