Abstract :
The brushless DC motor with two sets of control channels is presented in this paper; it will be used in an electro-mechanical actuation (EMA) of the next generation more electric-aircraft (MEA). If either of the two channels is failure the motor work under the single channel mode, i.e. fault tolerant operation mode. There exists mutual inductance between the two sets of control channels, so the parameters are changed indefinitely, the rudder load is dynamic and external disturbance is random. According to all of these characteristics of the system, a integral-fuzzy-sliding mode control is adopted, the simulation results show that the proposed control strategy has strong robustness to the parameter variations and external disturbances, and after the fault-tolerance reconfiguring of the control parameters the motor can run under the fault-tolerant operation mode with no steady error, and the transition time of the system reaching to steady running state is shortened, which satisfies the fault tolerant control requirements.
