Abstract :
In order to measure accurately rotor flux, easily and simply estimate rotor speed for induction motor, this paper proposed a rotor flux observer based on a novel voltage model, and an original sensorless control method based on the phase difference between the stator current vector and the stator voltage vector. A novel voltage model was constructed, and then the rotor flux observer was established based on the novel voltage model. And an original sensorless field-oritend control method for induction motor using easy and simple speed estimation was presented, as well as the results of an experiment that verifed the effectiveness of the proposed method. A performance study of cycloconverter-fed speed control system with the novel flux observer and the speed estimation method was done using Matlab. The simulation results showed that the novel flux observer and speed estimation method had better performance.
