Abstract :
A novel hybrid control based on digital variable-band hysteresis discrete pulse modulation (DPM) control and repetitive control is proposed for a 400 Hz inverter. The good dynamic response of the DPM inverter is obtained by the digital hysteresis control, and the steady state control performance is improved significantly by the repetitive control. By utilizing the variable hysteresis band, the stability margin of the control system has been increased. Tbe 400 Hz / 1 KVA DPM inverter is designed with the variable-band method provided in detail. Simulation and experimental results are presented to verify the validity and feasibility of the proposed control.
