Abstract :
For three-level neutral point clamped (NPC) back-to-back converter, the inductor in grid side and capacitors in dc-bus are the most important components, which not only influence system performance but also determine the design of system controllers. This paper provides an optimized design method for these energy storage components according to the specific control method of the system. Experimental results validate the proposed principle and the system exhibits satisfied steady state and dynamic performances.
