Abstract
In order to expand the wind energy capture range, promote its global efficiency and fault tolerance and reduce its cost, a new direct-driven wind energy conversion system with multiple armature-winding hybrid-excitation generator is presented in this paper. The structure of the generator is described. Both operating principles and control strategies of the system are analyzed in detail. With the accurate parameters got from Ansoft-Simplorer, the system characteristics is simulated and verified on Matlab/Simulink.
