Abstract :
One of the advantages of using electric vehicles (EVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) is recovering energy through vehiclepsilas braking regeneration. In this paper, a regenerative braking control strategy for a fuel cell hybrid vehicular power system has been presented based on fuzzy logic. Fuel cell output power is determined according to the driving load requirement and the battery SOC, using fuzzy control concept. Simulation results show that the proposed control strategies can maintain the SOC of battery around target range and restore the braking regenerated energy during driving cycle test.
