Abstract :
Study on dual-rotor generator technology can promote the wind power industry since it has compact structure and higher performances. This paper proposes a novel dual-rotor permanent-magnet synchronous wind-driven generator which can apparently improve the utilization coefficient of wind energy, and then introduces its operation principle, structure and design. After that, the magnetic field of the designed dual-rotor permanent-magnet synchronous wind-driven generator is analyzed based on Maxwell software. The results show that it can output higher voltage and power than a conventional PMSG with the same volume and speed, thus proving that it can lower the starting speed and work well at low wind speed.
