Abstract
Based on the principle and the launch profile of high speed long primary double-sided linear induction motor (DSLIM), the simulation model of the motor is constructed by using the moverpsilas field oriented control (FOC) method. The dynamic performance of the motor are simulated, and the rules of voltage, current, ratio of voltage to frequency, power factor, power efficiency and energy efficiency varied with thrust and load mass are presented, which is important to the design of pulse power supply and drive system . Simulation result shows it is feasible to launch a heavy body by this type of linear motor. Simulation results also give a very good agreement with the results based on ANSOFT. It verifies the validity of the model and provides a new way for the study and implementation of control strategy of this kind of machine.
