Abstract :
This paper describes an approach for the accuracy improvement of the analysis of small permanent magnet type stepping motors with claw poles in order to reduce the development processes and the number of prototype motors. The magnetic properties of an incompletely magnetized magnet are obtained by a magnetization analysis. Also the effect of processing on the B-H curve of the stator claw poles is investigated. Using the B-H curve after material processing and the incompletely magnetized magnet gives results which closely match measurements.
