  • Abstract
The paper presents design, fabrication and experiments of an iron-core, rotating field, two phases and modified non-salient pole rotor compulsator (compensated pulsed alternator), which is for comparison with air-core compulsator to be made in the near future. It includes parameters and special technics different from traditional generators. The decision of thickness of compensation shield is based on the simulation of eddy-current magnetic in the compensation shield. The paper also shows results of no-load and discharge experiment, which verify the capacity of enduring high pulsed current, high rotating stress and insulation strength for the iron-core passive compulsator.
