Abstract :
High Voltage Power Supply (HVPS) of Diagnostic Neutral Beam (DNB) for HT-7 is presently operating. The high voltage pulse capacitor banks provide the primary voltage source for tetrode which is the system regulator by controlling the tetrodepsilas voltage drop between cathode and anode to get steady output voltage in DNB load. It will be introduced that a new capacitor banks charging system uses 3-phase variac drove by a motor, and a variable frequency power source feeds the motor so that it can operate in different invariable speed by changing frequency of power source. The experiment demonstrates the feasibility of this charging system design.
