Abstract :
Higher power density has been an important goal in the field of power generator. Using evaporative cooling system has made a great progress in making smaller and more powerful generator. As this new technique could improve the cooling effect so that the current density of windings could be set higher and smaller cubage would not bring superheating. It is a great progress, but the slots in the stator of an original motor have limited the development of the industry. This paper gives a new technical way to help improve the power density of the generator towards a new step - slotless stator. In the base of calculating the parameters, the author changes the stator of an original evaporative cooling generator to slotless which means there are no ferromagnetic slots in the stator and the windings are set in the gap between the stator and the rotor. With the software ANSOFT, the paper analyzes the electromagnetism field of the new configuration.
