Abstract
This paper introduces an active superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) to meet the requirements of the three-phase electric power system with grounded neutral. The detailed operational characteristics are discussed, and the simulation model is established by using MATLAB. According to the simulation results, it is known this proposed SFCL can deal with different kinds of short circuit and the current is suppressed effectively at first peak after the fault.
