Abstract :
This article regarded the popularization of GIS as a starting point. It researched the feasibility of the transformations based on special GIS to popular GIS. It proved the popular spatial information service platform structure mainly from data base, technical feasibility, system framework, function frame and user perspective. And it also gave a future construction idea about popular spatial information service platform based on distributed. The paper put forward a new mode to quickly set up a multi-major,three-dimensional,multi-level space service system in theory. This can tap the value of the existing GIS system fully, and reduce the waste of resources, which has the practical significance and the reference to setting up a resource-saving and harmonious society to the digital city.
