Abstract :
The ISI (inter symbol interference) and ICI (inter carrier interference) effects can be reduced using cyclically prefixing guard bands with the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols. Recently, the authors reduced them by cyclically shuffling the sub-carrier frequency and using CI (carrier interferometry) code to each sub-carrier. In this paper, the authors attempt to analyze the propagation of the sub-carrier frequency shuffled (FS) CIOFDM symbols through a time invariant multi-path fading channels. A small guard band of length, much less than the RMS delay spread of the channel, is used between the consecutive FS-CIOFDM symbols for operation of electronic devices in its linear region.
