Abstract :
In order to alleviate the scalability problem, IPTV uses multicast routing. The one of most widely used multicast routing mechanism is protocol independent multicast-sparse mode (PIM-SM). Even though the PIN-SM reduces the scalability problem, there is still a congestion problem when the center is static. Thus, we proposed dynamic center relocation to solve this congestion problem. In this paper, we provide a simulation results that show performance improvement in delay and bandwidth perspectives.
