Abstract :
In this paper, a structure of a radial magnetic bearing with resonance circuit is proposed, which dose not need separate displacement sensors. The operating principle of the radial magnetic bearing is also introduced. The stability of the radial magnetic bearing is analyzed by the control system theory. The analysis shows that the proposed radial magnetic bearing with resonance circuit is unstable in dynamic state process. The simulation study on an example shows that the radial magnetic bearing with resonance circuit can levitate stably by means of a PD controller. But it is of steady-state error
