Abstract

Map symbol has important effect in the process of GIS graphics. This paper introduce a GIS common symbol library, which is designed and implemented based on MapObjects´ interface, include point symbol, line symbol and fill symbol and further illustration on how to save symbol in commercial database. At last, a case that using this symbol library is shown. This is a result tested in Zhejiang province in the Chinese numerical marine project and it achieves a good result.
