Abstract :
Enterprise computing is one of application fields of pervasive computing in manufacturing enterprises, which includes all aspects of enterprise business management via enterprise application integration within network environment. The study on manufacturing pattern is the basic work for enterprise computing. There are different attention contents for the enterprise management within different manufacturing patterns. Entity Enterprise (EE) and Virtual Enterprise (VE) are two patterns of manufacture: the traditional pattern and the modern pattern. This paper focuses on discussing the differences and conjunctions on performance management between EE and VE. EE still is the main object for enterprise business management. VE can be regarded as a management method that the EE (namely traditional enterprise) uses the exterior resources to realize agile manufacture. The performance management of VE, which can be considered as the extension of the entity enterprise performance management (EEPM), is the integration of the performance measurement system of its members. Selecting members for the virtual enterprise belongs to the entity enterprise´s performance management, and it also is an important tache of the virtual enterprise´s performance management.
