Abstract :
A joint frame synchronization and frequency offset acquisition method for OFDM systems is proposed in this paper. A training signal composed by linear frequency modulation signals is superimposed on the data signal at the transmitter side. The receiver performs fractional Fourier transform on the received signal which can realize frame synchronization and frequency offset acquisition simultaneously. Even under the conditions with low signal to noise ratio, this method not only can provide better accuracy, but also has lower computational complexity. Theoretical analysis and simulation results over AWGN and multi-path channel prove this point.
