Smart antenna beam forming based on a new method

In this paper, a kind of synthesis method of antenna array with arbitrary element positions and orientations is presented. This method can be used in the calculation of smart antenna arrays´ beam forming. Some typical conformal array patterns are synthesized using this method. The differences with other methods and the necessity of this method are discussed.
