  • Abstract
This paper investigates the problem of synthesis of decentralized output/state regulators for large scale systems. The decentralized regulators are synthesized by salving-the extended algebraic Riccati equation (EARE). Three different methods are proposed for the solution of the EARE. One of the methods uses decomposition to solve the EARE. This results in a hierarchical scheme of the coordinator and the subsystem problem. The problem of convergence of the numerical methods has also been investigated.
