Abstract
Experiments are performed to obtain kinetic parameters for mathematical modeling of Zymomonas mobilis fermentation for ethanol production. A locally linearized model is used to study the adaptive control of the fermentation process. A multivariable hybrid adaptive control technique is utilized to control the fermentation process.
