Abstract :
Large industrial biological waste treatment facilities have unique control problems due to complex control interactions, large control reaction time constants and a requirement for long term data collection. Polysar´s approach to these problems was to employ Direct Digital Control. The control system design, process interface and operating experience are discussed.
