Abstract :
Closed-form analytical relationships are developed between supersonic missile aerodynamic characteristics such as lift, zero-lift drag and drag due-to-lift and performance parameters such as range, velocity, specific range, flight path angle and maneuver load factor. These relationships apply to long range missile flight profiles for supersonic cruise and glide missions. The analytical relationships are developed for climb, cruise, glide, dive, and run-in segments. The results include equations for use in closed-form performance estimates and guiding configuration development.
