Abstract
This paper describes the application of modern control to enhance the performance of a digital capture loop design. A Disturbance Accommodating Controller structure is used to provide type-N servo response. Estimates of average inertial inputs are constructed, which exhibit dynamic characteristics, and resolution superior to that of classical designs. A dry accelerometer is used as a design example. Time and frequency responses are presented.
