Abstract :
The attributes of an advanced distributed control system are high-speed transaction, short response time, and fault tolerance. The paper shows new operational principles which facilitate the way for a control system to obtain such attributes. High-speed processing of participating computers can be obtained by quasi-continuous operating mode. This operating mode emulates better the physical phenomena than the saquential Von Neumann programming. The broadcast control network operating mode, thighten the loosely coupled multi-processors through synchronization, short response time, and effectiveness. The broadcast operating mode lends itself better to a fault tolerant protocol and executive software.
