Abstract
The use of decentralized observers and local state feedback is a simple approach to the decentralized control of large systems. The conditions for the existence of decentralized decoupled observers and their structure are investigated. The analysis is based on the properties of the zero pencil of an adjoint subsystem with unknown inputs.
