Abstract
A new method for flux regulation in the air gap of the induction motor is suggested. The method employs the direct integration of the input voltage rather than measuring the actual air gap flux by sensing coils. The flux is regulated while the motor being driven continuously in the current controlled mode of operation. The theoretical basis of calculating the flux reference is given and the response of the motor is demonstrated during load and frequency changes.
