Abstract :
The design of linear quadratic optimal (LQR) controllers for multirate systems is considered. It is assumed that the sampling rates involved are ratios of integers. The design is based on modelling the sampled-data system at a suitably defined fast rate. The modelling technique can be easily extended to other multirate controller structures.
