Abstract :
This paper outlines a new approach to improve the performance of existing time-varying adaptive control systems. By adding a second estimator to estimate the closed-loop parameters of an adaptive control system and then using these estimates, with a properly deviced scheme, we revise the original estimates which are obtained by the first estimator. The resulting revised estimates are then used to replace the original estimates to compute the control law. Simulation results show that, compared with the performance of existing adaptive control algorithm, there is significant improvement of performance when the new algorithm is used to control the same time-varying processes.
