Self-tuning Process Control: a review of some algorithms and their application

Several self-tuning algorithms which can provide for offset free responses are reviewed and a generalised framework allowing the study of process-model mismatch and disturbance rejection properties is summarised. Multivariable developments of the algorithms have been applied to the simultaneous regulation of terminal compositions of a binary distillation column.
