Abstract
In summary, the DMC controller was installed and functioning 8 weeks ahead of schedule. It has required a minimal amount of readjustment and tuning and has maintained a high stream factor. The economic driving force in the controller has resulted in an average reduction in the energy used in the reactor preheat furnace of 55 %. This energy savings represents a value of approximately $1000/day.
