Abstract :
This paper describes a procedure to design optimum compensators using proportional-minus-delay (PMD) action for second and third-order feedback systems. When the feedback compensator was implemented by means of PHD action, the output performance of the resulting closed-loop system was better in the sense of the ITAE index than that of the same system which employed a proportional-plus-derivative action or than that of one which employed posicast control actions.
