Abstract :
A cantilevered beam configuration with a disc at the end is considered. Active vibration damping is to be accomplished with two sets of double proof mass actuators mounted on the disk. In this paper a mathematical model is developed for control studies, based on a combination of analytical modeling of both the structure and the actuators, with experimental validation and adjustment.
